At the core of our innovative model lies a network of cutting-edge diagnostic labs, strategically housed in solar-powered shipping containers that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 7 – ensuring access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable modern energy for all by 2030.
We focus on the rural areas. Focused on Rural Outreach Recognizing that the greatest need lies in underserved rural communities, Cherehani Labs is purposefully designed to bridge the gap in access to veterinary diagnostics for dairy farmers in remote areas.
Our Vet Officers are mobile and the results are provided digitally. To overcome the challenges of reaching dispersed rural communities, our model employs a network of veterinary officers to collect samples. These trained professionals will traverse the rural landscape, collecting samples and delivering them to our diagnostic hubs for comprehensive analysis.
Lab Assistants are well trained in using state-of-the-art diagnostics machines Inside the labs, the lab assistants receive blood and milk samples and run them through different tests. The test results will then be seamlessly transmitted back to farmers through digital channels, ensuring timely access to critical information.
How It will work
- Farmer brings or sends samples to the lab. When a farmer notices signs of illness or wants a routine health check samples are collected and brought to the nearest Cherehani lab. Local vets, trained by our team on correct sample collection, can also submit samples on the farmer’s behalf.
- Lab technician runs analysis. Our qualified lab technician processes the samples using professional lab equipment. Images and diagnostic data are captured and fed directly into our AI system for analysis.
- AI generates recommendations. The AI matches lab results against diagnostic patterns to generate tailored dietary and medical recommendations specific to that animal’s condition and needs.
-
Veterinary doctor reviews and approves. Our resident vet doctor reviews the AI-generated results and recommendations, applying clinical judgment before anything is sent out. No result leaves without expert sign-off.
- Results delivered to farmer and local vet. The farmer receives their animal’s dietary recommendations directly. The local vet receives the medical recommendations giving them the verified data they need to treat correctly. Test before treat, every time.
