At the core of our innovative model lies a network of cutting-edge diagnostic labs, strategically housed in solar-powered shipping containers that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 7 – ensuring access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable modern energy for all by 2030.
We focus on the rural areas. Focused on Rural Outreach Recognizing that the greatest need lies in underserved rural communities, Cherehani Labs is purposefully designed to bridge the gap in access to veterinary diagnostics for dairy farmers in remote areas.
Our Vet Officers are mobile and the results are provided digitally. To overcome the challenges of reaching dispersed rural communities, our model employs a network of veterinary officers to collect samples. These trained professionals will traverse the rural landscape, collecting samples and delivering them to our diagnostic hubs for comprehensive analysis.
Lab Assistants are well trained in using state-of-the-art diagnostics machines Inside the labs, the lab assistants receive blood and milk samples and run them through different tests. The test results will then be seamlessly transmitted back to farmers through digital channels, ensuring timely access to critical information.
How It will work
Cherehani’s Veterinary Officer makes monthly pre-scheduled visits to the farms. They first conduct two rapid tests in the farm.
Samples are taken from cattle with bacterial or viral infection for further test in the lab. The samples are labeled with unique codes.
Lab assistant receives samples, runs tests and posts results on the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
At the HQ, Head of Pathology analyses data for quality assurance. Through AI, dietary and medical recommendations are matched with needs.
The results are sent to the farmer and their Vet for action via SMS.
